GLASFLAME is a range of modified bitumen membranes with a reinforcement of rot-proof, dimensionally stable glasfiber mat. The inlay is positioned within a matrix of bitumen modified with a special blend of polypropylene thermoplastic polymers (APP).

Generally recommended to be used as the first or base layer in multi-layer system below ground. Ideal in special applications such as wet-rooms where totally inert rot proof membrane is required.

Dimensional stability.
Inert base layer in a multi-layer specification.

GLASFLAME is installed by torch welding method, loose-laid or fully bonded to substrate. When loose-laid, only laps are bonded together. Peripheries and protrusions are sealed according to specifications.

The underside of the membrane should be torched just enough to superficially melt the bitumen. Excessive heating may damage the reinforcement. Overlaps should be re-heated from the top and resealed with a trowel to ensure seam integrity.

Roll Length 10mts
Roll width 1 Mt.
Thickness 3, 4,  mm
Reinforcement 60/50 gsm glasfiber matt

GLASFLAME is available in two basic finishes:
Black finish with polyethylene surfaces for covered applications.
Granule surfacing for exposed applications.
Aluminum faced finish (3 mm only)

For flat areas

1 mt.1.13 M2/M2 per layer

For 30 cm. girth flashing

0.35 M2/Mt/ length

Average wastage

3 - 5%

GLASFLAME complies with the requirements and tolerance levels of :
