JOINTSEAL-C is ideal for sealing and
waterproofing joints or cracks in concrete masonry or asphalt surfaces,
both horizontal and vertical. JOINTSEAL-C can also be used for roof
flashing and roof tile JOINTSEAL-C is not suitable for contact
with solvents or jet fuel.
Good
expansion & contraction properties.
Good mechanical
properties, tensile strength, elongation and resilience.
Pliable and flexible.
Heat stable, does not
melt at high temperature up to 60 oC.
Excellent adhesion;
strong durable bond.
Economical.
Time saving, Single
component, does not require mixing, thereby saves time.
Oxidation resistant and
durable.

Contains petroleum distillate; flammable; keep
away from open fire, sparks or other ignition sources. Wear protective
clothing, gloves and goggles.
Fire - Flammable when
wet, flash point 40 °C.
Skin - Avoid repeated
or prolonged contact; if contact occurs remove with hand cleaner that
removes oil or grease; then clean with soap and water.
Eyes- Contact could
cause irritation. If contact occurs flush with clean water.
Inhalation - Can cause
dizziness. Remove to fresh air and if breathing difficulty persist
administer oxygen.

Tools : Clean with kerosene
Hands : Use a hand cleaner or kerosene followed by soap and water.

20-litre pails and 200-litre drums.

Surface Preparation
JOINTSEAL-C is applied by trowel, putty knife or standard
sealant gun or pressure equipment. The sealant should be applied flush
with the surface.
Joint Dimension
Ideally the depth of the joint should be half the width.
Horizontal joints deeper than 10 mm should be first filled with sand
backer rod, fiber board fillet to a depth of 10 mm form the surface.
Vertical joints should be filled with back rod, fiber board filler or
other suitable filler to a depth of 10 mm from the surface. Do not use
polystyrene or polyurethane backer rod.
The fiber board or backer rod can be adhered to the joint wall with this
application of JOINTSEAL-C. The backer rod or other filler material is
desirable to equalize the compression of the sealant induced by joint
movement and to reduce the thickness of the sealant. On traffic bearing
surfaces, the sealant should be slightly sanded to prevent sticking.
Sealant Thickness
Maximum sealant thickness should be 10mm. It is
recommended that the application takes place in two stages of 5 mm each,
allowing 4-8 hours of curing time between each application in order to
expedite curing and minimize shrinkage cracking.
